This year I am on a journey for joy. You can read more about how this journey got started here.
Lacking joy? I’d love for you to join me on the journey for joy?
So, what sparked joy for me this week?
- Date Night! I was so excited to get out for a dinner date with my man this week! We are trying to very hard to get on at least one date a month. I didn’t think it was going to happen for April, but at the last minute it worked out.
- Bone broth in my pressure cooker!! Guys, I have been wanting to make homemade broth for so long but the process seemed too daunting and what if I messed it up? It would be a lot of effort for no results. My fear kept me from trying it. But after damaging my diastasis due to the 21 Day Fix program, I needed to up my bone broth intake. It has such great healing benefits for the muscles and ligaments. Now that I have my pressure cooker I decided to try it out in there. Less work for me if it was a flop. But it worked wonderfully! I am so glad I took the plunge! I can’t say enough good things about the pressure cooker.
- Grace, Not Perfection. This is my latest book. I think I have a book problem. I can’t turn away a good book, especially not one on grace. The hot pink cover was just icing on the cake for this girl! I have about 100 books started, I need to stop new ones and finish some old ones. I am an overachiever when it comes to a good read.
- Girls Night Out! I was able to sneak away for a night out with my girls. It has been years since we were all together and it was just what my soul needed. It’s been a hard few years and I shared a little bit about a few reasons here on the blog over the last year and most recently I shared about my loss of friends at my church. Well, this dinner just fell on my lap and I was amazed at how the Lord works. He knew my brokenness and that I just needed a night with these girls and He made it happen. It was so good to laugh and reminisce and share updated news.
